Billco also has the in-house capability to design and manufacture glass handling machines and systems for special purpose requirements.
An example of this capability is our fully Automatic Glass Handling and Sorting System. This System is an automated glass handling system designed to handle, store, and sort large or small quantities of random size pieces of glass. The System is an integration of equipment, micro-electronics, and software.

Each System includes a variety of modular handling machines, depending upon the unique processing requirements. These include machines for conveying, tilting, selecting, and racking.
This Billco Automatic Sorting System will accept and store pieces of glass in racks in a random mix of sizes and order numbers, at the breakout area of an X-Y-Z Cutting Line, for example. Then after moving the racks to the next fabrication process (insulating, tempering, laminating, packing or other) the pieces are automatically removed from the racks in the required manufacturing or packing sequence, and then conveyed vertically or horizontally to the next processing equipment.
All functions can be automated including electronic measuring of the glass before and/or after each fabrication process, to detect losses, identify each piece, and provide order tracking.
