Substrate Cleaning Process:
Conveying
The substrate is conveyed via a roller system. Processing speeds can be adjusted to match existing production line rates. Constant load tensioning devices on the drive chain eliminate the need for manual adjustment.
Washing
Parallel scrubbing brushes rotate in the direction of, or against the flow of glass. The brushes are adjustable to accommodate a variety of glass thicknesses. Various brush configurations are available, depending upon the degree of cleanliness desired.
Rinsing
Counter flow rinse sections may include spray lines or brushes, depending on cleaning requirements. Spray lines offer the most space efficient method to remove cleaning solution. This can be accomplished with either treated or untreated water.
Drying
Powerful fans draw ambient air through filters and force it through air knives. This rids the surface of any trace of moisture and any impurities. Billco's exclusive Air Knife System removes the water-soluble liquids that an evaporative process can leave behind.
